Aeros Group acquires Cat3C for ‘ground school’ PPL & ATPL training

Aeros Group announced today the full acquisition of Cat3C Ltd based at Gloucester Airport, UK.

Aeros Group announced today the full acquisition of Cat3C Ltd based at Gloucester Airport, UK.

Aeros was established in 1986 and is now the largest modular flight training school in the UK with bases in Doncaster, Coventry, Gloucester, Wellesbourne and Cardiff.

Cat3C provides TKI (theoretical knowledge instruction) more commonly known as ‘Ground School’ for PPL and ATPL student pilots. Recently, Cat3C added an Education Division to develop aviation training programmes in partnerships with universities and other education providers.

Managing Director of Cat3C, Nigel Orme said, ‘Following our partnership with Aeros in 2019 where all Aeros students completed their Ground School with us, it was a natural progression to combine our organisations to benefit all our students. Our external students, who are not training with Aeros, will continue to enjoy the best TKI training available while now being able to fully access the benefits of the Aeros Group.’

Nick Dunn, Group CEO for Aeros said, ‘We are thrilled to complete this full acquisition of Cat3C as part of our strategic vision to expand our full scope of services to both Aeros student pilots and external PPL and ATPL students. Our UK CAA and EASA training/education programmes combined with Cat3C offering full TKI, Austro-Control exams and Aviation-English language testing allows a full spectrum of training services in the Group’

Additional education partnerships and initiatives will be announced in the coming months for the Aeros Group.
