Flexibility with direction

Train around your life. Progress towards your career.

Not every aspiring pilot wants, or needs, a full-time training programme.

For many students, the flexibility to train around work, family commitments or existing studies is what makes a professional pilot career possible.

Our Flexi-Track pathway allows you to complete your training at a pace that works for you, whilst still benefiting from the expertise, support and professional training environment that Aeros is known for.

Whether you're taking your first trial lesson, already hold a Private Pilot Licence, or are returning to training after a break, Flexi-Track allows you to join at the stage that's right for you.

A training programme built around you

Flexi-Track gives you complete control over the pace of your training.

Some students complete their training over several years whilst working full-time. Others accelerate certain phases as their availability allows. The choice is yours.

You'll work with our experienced team to create a training plan that aligns with your goals, timescales and budget.

01

Private Pilot Licence

The Private Pilot Licence (PPL) is where most pilots begin their flying journey.

Whether your goal is recreational flying or a future airline career, the PPL provides the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to operate an aircraft safely and independently.

02

ATPL Theoretical Knowledge

Our ATPL can be studied full-time, in-house, or via distance learning: the same training, delivered to suit you.

Training is divided into four modules, each taking approximately eight weeks to complete. At the end of each module, students are required to attend a Brush-Up course, designed to refresh and consolidate knowledge to examination standard.

03

Night Rating

A Night Rating allows pilots to fly after sunset and introduces a new set of skills and considerations.

During the course, you'll learn night navigation, aircraft handling in reduced visibility conditions and the procedures required for safe night operations.

04

Hour Building

Hour building forms an important part of the modular commercial pilot pathway.

Beyond simply accumulating flight time, this stage provides an opportunity to develop navigation, decision-making and practical flying experience in a variety of environments and conditions.

Explore Hour Building
05

IMC Rating

The IMC Rating, enables pilots to fly safely in a wider range of weather conditions whilst developing core instrument flying skills.

The qualification introduces instrument procedures, navigation techniques and flight by sole reference to instruments, providing valuable experience for both recreational and aspiring professional pilots.

06

Multi-Engine Piston Rating

The MEP Rating introduces pilots to the operation of twin-engine aircraft and forms an essential part of most commercial pilot training programmes.

Students learn aircraft systems, performance considerations and emergency procedures unique to multi-engine operations whilst developing the skills required for more advanced qualifications.

07

Multi-Engine Instrument Rating

The Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR) and Competency-Based Instrument Rating (CBIR) provide the skills required to operate safely and confidently under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).

These qualifications form a key part of professional pilot training and prepare students for the procedural and technical demands of commercial aviation.

Commercial Pilot Licence

The CPL represents a major milestone on the journey to becoming a professional pilot.

The course focuses on precision aircraft handling, decision-making, professionalism and the standards expected of commercial flight crew.

You can join Aeros at any point within this pathway, allowing you to continue existing training or transfer from another provider.

Your investment

Pay as you train. Progress on your terms.

One of the biggest advantages of modular training is flexibility, and that should apply to payments too.

Aeros operates a genuine pay-as-you-train model, allowing students to spread the cost of training throughout their journey rather than committing to significant upfront payments.

Many students choose to earn as they learn, balancing employment with training as they work towards their commercial licence.

More answers

How long does Flexi-Track training take?

There is no fixed timescale. Some students complete training within two to three years, whilst others choose a longer timeframe to accommodate work, family or financial commitments.

Can I start training if I already hold a PPL?

Yes. Many students join Aeros after completing their PPL elsewhere or after taking a break from training. We can assess your current qualifications and advise on the most appropriate next steps.

Can I transfer from another flight school?

Absolutely. We regularly welcome transfer students and will work with you to review your training history and create a pathway towards completion.

Is Flexi-Track cheaper than integrated training?

Every student's training journey is different, however modular training is often considered one of the most cost-effective routes to becoming a commercial pilot. It also offers greater flexibility over when and how training costs are incurred.

Can I train whilst working full-time?

Yes. Many Flexi-Track students train alongside full-time employment. Training schedules can be arranged to maximise availability and help maintain momentum.

Do I still receive support if I choose Flexi-Track?

Absolutely. Flexi-Track students receive the same commitment to training quality, student support and graduate services as every Aeros student.
