Ambition with direction

Every professional pilot starts with a decision.

A decision to take a dream and turn it into a career.

Our Fast-Track programme provides a structured, full-time route through modular commercial pilot training, designed for students who want a clear pathway from zero experience to professional pilot.

Combining the flexibility and value of modular training with the structure often associated with integrated courses, Fast-Track provides a carefully planned training programme, dedicated support, and defined milestones to help keep you progressing towards your goal.

Aeros is committed to making pilot training as flexible as possible. Through our pay-as-you-train model, students pay for training as they progress, helping them plan and manage their training journey with confidence.

01

Private Pilot Licence

The Private Pilot Licence (PPL) is where most pilots begin their flying journey.

Whether your goal is recreational flying or a future airline career, the PPL provides the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to operate an aircraft safely and independently.

02

ATPL Theoretical Knowledge

Our ATPL can be studied full-time, in-house, or via distance learning: the same training, delivered to suit you.

Training is divided into four modules, each taking approximately eight weeks to complete. At the end of each module, students are required to attend a Brush-Up course, designed to refresh and consolidate knowledge to examination standard.

Night Rating

A Night Rating allows pilots to fly after sunset and introduces a new set of skills and considerations.

During the course, you'll learn night navigation, aircraft handling in reduced visibility conditions and the procedures required for safe night operations.

04

Hour Building

Hour building forms an important part of the modular commercial pilot pathway.

Beyond simply accumulating flight time, this stage provides an opportunity to develop navigation, decision-making and practical flying experience in a variety of environments and conditions.

05

IMC Rating

The IMC Rating, enables pilots to fly safely in a wider range of weather conditions whilst developing core instrument flying skills.

The qualification introduces instrument procedures, navigation techniques and flight by sole reference to instruments, providing valuable experience for both recreational and aspiring professional pilots.

06

Multi-Engine Piston Rating

The MEP Rating introduces pilots to the operation of twin-engine aircraft and forms an essential part of most commercial pilot training programmes.

Students learn aircraft systems, performance considerations and emergency procedures unique to multi-engine operations whilst developing the skills required for more advanced qualifications.

07

Multi-Engine Instrument Rating

The Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR) and Competency-Based Instrument Rating (CBIR) provide the skills required to operate safely and confidently under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).

These qualifications form a key part of professional pilot training and prepare students for the procedural and technical demands of commercial aviation.

Commercial Pilot Licence

The CPL represents a major milestone on the journey to becoming a professional pilot.

The course focuses on precision aircraft handling, decision-making, professionalism and the standards expected of commercial flight crew.

Many aspiring pilots assume they need to secure large loans or pay substantial sums upfront before starting training.

At Aeros, we believe training should be accessible to dedicated students.

Your enrolment fee secures your place and training pathway, with flying training then paid for flight-by-flight as you progress. Many students choose to work alongside their training, allowing them to earn as they learn and spread costs throughout their journey.

More answers

How long does the Fast-Track programme take?

The Fast-Track programme is designed to take approximately 18 months from zero flight experience to completion of your professional pilot training. Individual progress may vary depending on factors such as weather, training availability, exam completion and personal circumstances. Many students achieve their licence significantly quicker.

Do I need any previous flying experience?

No. Many of our students begin with no previous flying experience. The programme starts with your Private Pilot Licence (PPL) before progressing through the professional training stages required for a commercial pilot career.

Is Fast-Track the same as integrated training?

Not quite. Fast-Track follows the modular route to becoming a commercial pilot, but with a structured training plan, dedicated support and clear milestones. This allows students to benefit from the flexibility and financial advantages of modular training whilst following a defined pathway.

How does the pay-as-you-train model work?

Unlike many training providers, Aeros does not require substantial upfront payments for flying training. Students pay an enrolment fee to secure their place and training pathway, with flying training then paid for as it is completed. This helps reduce financial risk and allows students greater flexibility in managing training costs.

Can I work whilst completing the Fast-Track programme?

The programme is designed as a full-time training pathway, however some students choose to work alongside their studies where possible. Our team can discuss your circumstances and help you understand what level of commitment will be required throughout training.

What aircraft will I train on?

Students train on a fleet of modern, well-maintained aircraft, including the Alsim AL42, Tecnam P-Mentor, Diamond DA20, Diamond DA40, Diamond DA42, Piper PA28 and Cessna 152, depending on the stage of training.

Will Aeros help me find an airline job?

While no flight school can guarantee employment, Aeros actively supports students as they transition from training to the flight deck.

Our Graduate Services team works closely with students throughout their training and after graduation, providing career guidance, recruitment support and access to airline engagement opportunities. Through relationships with airlines and training partners, including our involvement in the British Airways Speedbird Pilot Academy, we help students understand the opportunities available to them and prepare for each stage of the recruitment process.

Many Aeros graduates have gone on to fly for leading UK and international airlines, and our focus is on ensuring every student is equipped with the skills, knowledge and professional support needed to pursue those opportunities with confidence.

Can I train for both UK CAA and EASA licences?

No. Aeros only offer UK CAA licences.
