WELCOME TO AEROS
Established in 1986, Aeros have been carrying out commercial training since 1988 and has built up an enviable reputation for high quality tution on all courses from PPL to frozen ATPL.
We have two schools; our main training centre is based at Gloucestershire Airport with a PPL training school at Bristol Filton Aerodrome. The Gloucestershire school is located in its own purpose-built offices and hangers.
Aeros Flight Training is part of Aeros Holdings which owns all the buildings and fleet as well as our subsiduaries Aeros Engineering and Aeros Air Charter, also are based at Gloucester.
OUR FLEET
We have a large fleet which can cope with any downtime that may occur and is fully supported by our own EASA 145 approved maintenance company. For the customer this means very little time is lost due to unserviceable aircraft, which can be crucial when preparing for test. With the exception of our fully aerobatic Zlin 242L, we have an all-Piper fleet, allowing for a natural progression from Warrior to Arrow to Seneca. Even our new FNPTII simulator used for IR training is type-specific to the Seneca 2 aircraft on the Aeros fleet.
INSTRUCTION
The team of Commercial instructors at Aeros is among the most experienced in the industry with many thousands of hours instructing between them. Running our own instructor courses has allowed us to choose the most appropriate people to fit into our team and has allowed them to progress along the instructing ladder.
All our Commercial Training is carried out on a ratio of one instructor to two students, a ratio which we have maintained from the inception and one which is now recognised by the industry to be a significant factor in the quality of the training. The instructor is assigned to the student at course registration and remains with the student throughout each module, be it CPL, IR or FIC.
Our quality control procedures ensure that in the event of instructor illness back-up staff are fully capable of continuing the training along established Aeros teaching practices. This provides a secure training enviroment which helps insulate the student from any external factors outside our control.
EXPERTISE
Successful Aeros students are working in Airlines and other Air Operators throughout the UK and Europe, drawing on the knowledge and skills gained during their training at Aeros. We will impart to you this in-depth expertise, assisting you on your path to a successful career as a Commercial Pilot.
You can expect training which is not only designed to get you that all important first time pass but which will also equip you for your career. At Aeros we have no secrets, our pass rates are constantly updated on our website (www.aeros.co.uk) and are open testimony to the quality of our training. All our courses are designed to get the best results for you and are not just based on minimum training times.
Open conversation is one of the best ways to assess competitive schools and consequently we have a large directory of ex-Aeros students who would be more than happy to talk through their training experience with Aeros. Please feel free use this list (available on request) or, even better, come in and talk to current students. We always do our best for the student but personal references dispel doubt.
For further details please come and visit us in Gloucester and see for yourself. Expect a warm welcome, as all of our staff will be more than happy to answer your queries or questions.
