The Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) class rating can be added to a private (PPL) or commercial licence (CPL). If you are interested in seriously pursuing a career in aviation for example within the airline industry it is important that after completing your CPL course you look at a multi-engined instrument rating as a single engine version has limited commercial use. With that in mind you may well prefer to undertake your MEP rating before beginning the IR.

The MEP rating is priced at £1950, which comprises of six hours in one of our Seneca II aircraft and all landings. The course is based at Gloucestershire airport.

We also offer the MEP as part of the multi-engined IR course.

All prices are inclusive of VAT at 17.5%. Charge time is calculated as airborne time plus 10 minutes. Landing Fees are additional at current rates (except for Trial Lessons). Inclusive Courses include landings. Away landings and approaches will be charged extra at cost. Prices correct at creation time but may vary slightly with inflation and fuel rates.
